Above Grade Flooring Is a Family-Run Flooring & Handyman Crew Serving the South Denver Metro
Above Grade Flooring started as one contractor with a truck and a reputation for showing up when he said he would. Owner Brian Blaylock opened the business in February 2022 after years of working flooring and remodeling jobs across the South Denver Metro, and built it around a simple standard: treat every home like it's the one he grew up in.
We're still a family-run operation, which means the person quoting your job is the same person who stands behind it when it's done. Every installer on our crew treats flooring as a craft, not a commodity - the goal on every job is a floor that looks like it was always part of the house, installed by someone who actually cares whether it holds up.
Because we're small and local, we don't cut corners to hit volume numbers a bigger company might chase. We show up on the day we say we will, leave your home clean at the end of each shift, and we're proud to offer senior and military discounts of up to 25% to the neighbors who've earned it.

Why the South Denver Metro Homeowners Choose Above Grade Flooring
Above Grade Flooring - legally Above Grade Flooring LLC - is based in Lone Tree, which puts us minutes from Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, and Castle Rock, and a short drive from Littleton, Centennial, Englewood, Denver, Lakewood, Arvada, and the rest of the South Denver Metro we serve.
Flooring is where we started, and it's still most of what we do - hardwood, engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and laminate, installed with the same crew from the first measurement to the final walkthrough. But we didn't stop there: Above Grade Flooring also handles kitchen and bath remodeling, cabinets and countertops, and window treatments, so the same team that lays your new floors can finish the room around it.
That combination matters more here than it might elsewhere. The Front Range's dry climate and big elevation swings put real stress on wood flooring - furnace-dry winter air pulls moisture out of hardwood and can open up gaps that a crew unfamiliar with the local climate won't anticipate. Whether your home is a newer build in Lone Tree or Highlands Ranch or an older bungalow in Denver or Arvada, we plan every install around how this specific climate treats hardwood and engineered planks over time.
Our Project Manager walks every home before we quote anything, so you're never picking materials off a brochure - you're seeing samples in your own light, against your own cabinets and trim. Whatever the project, our goal is the same: work you don't have to think about again once we've left.
